Beautiful Crazy Brokenness

Have you ever tried to pour into a broken vessel? As the liquid fills the container the cracks become more and more obvious. What’s poured into the broken vessel finds its way out of even the tiniest of brokenness. Isn’t that how life is? The more broken we are the more what’s on the inside pours out. Spilling out to those around us – usually the ones that love us most. Brokenness isn’t fun. Brokenness isn’t easy. But we can have a beautiful crazy brokenness if we just know where to go when we are broken.

Beautifully Broken

The truth of the matter is that we are all broken. We all have blemishes and cracks. Some are apparent to those we meet, and some are a deep brokenness. The kind that hurts to the very core of who we are. The deep brokenness is many times the hardest to gain healing from.

Maybe that’s the point of the deep brokenness.

Maybe healing isn’t the point of our brokenness.

Maybe our brokenness is meant to spill out on others.

Maybe the Master’s plan is to pour Himself onto others through our brokenness.

The question then begs, what am I pouring out? If the plan is for others to see Jesus through my brokenness, is it working? Brokenness that brings beauty can be a wonderful thing. But if I’m fighting against the brokenness and trying to mend the pieces myself, the brokenness is useless.

Maybe the brokenness is for yourself.

Maybe the brokenness is for someone else.

Maybe you see the good that comes from the brokenness.

Maybe you don’t.

It’s not about the cracks or the breaks that we have. It’s about what, or more specifically Who we allow to fill those cracks. Some cracks only a Saviour can fill. Will you let Him?
