  • 1 (16 oz) package elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 Cup of water from cooking macaroni
  • 2 Cups milk
  • 1 Teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Franks Red Hot
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Cup sour cream

Instructions:

1. Cook the macaroni according to the package directions LESS 2 minutes.

2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with all other ingredients.

3. Pour the mixture into a crock pot.

4. Cook on low for 2-3 hours or until heated through.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Frank’s Red Hot

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, combine Brussels sprouts, Franks Red Hot, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

3. Spread Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.

4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and slightly charred.

Sweet Potato Casserole

This classic side dish is sure to please. It’s sweet, savory, and oh-so-delicious.

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed

Southern style Potato Salad

This potato salad is creamy, flavorful, and perfect for a Thanksgiving side dish.

Ingredients:

1 lb potatoes

2 eggs

1/2 cup diced onion

Salt & Pepper to taste

1/2 tablespoon of mustard

3 tablespoons DUKES Mayo (Must be DUKES for true southern style 😉 )

Instructions:

1. Boil potatoes and eggs until tender.

2. Combine all ingredients and fold gently until mixed well.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup milk

1 cup cornmeal

2 tablespoons olive oil

6 green tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.

2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

3. In another shallow dish, combine egg and milk.

4. In a third shallow dish, combine cornmeal and olive oil.

5. Dip tomato slices in flour mixture, then coat with egg mixture, then coat with cornmeal mixture.

6. Place tomatoes on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

This may sound strange, but trust us, it’s delicious. This southern dish is often served over biscuits, but can be enjoyed in so many other ways.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup (2 oz) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cocoa powder until smooth.

2. Gradually whisk in milk until mixture is thick and bubbly.

3. Stir in sugar and vanilla extract; cook for 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Serve warm.
